Each lead teacher is required to have either a college degree in education or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and three or more years of programmatic experience in early childhood education.

A sample daily schedule can be found on our website. Please note, each age group will have varying times for large group, small center groups, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and structured enrichment activities. Your child’s daily schedule will be posted in their respective classroom and located on the parent app.

Behavior management is used to teach, not punish. Our teaching staff are trained to model and discuss appropriate behaviors with children. Each family will be our partners in working together to correct negative behavior.

Yes. We provide daily breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Our menus follow the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines and will be posted weekly. Special accommodations will be made for children with a food allergen and/or any dietary restriction.

Each family, upon enrollment, will receive an Emergency Response Guide (ERG) that details our protocols and procedures from natural disasters to security threats. In addition, our staff are fully trained in CPR, first aid, and medication administration, along with on-site emergency medical equipment.

Yes. We participate as a subsidy vendor through the Virginia Department of Education to relieve any qualifying family from economical hardship.

There is currently only one other child care center in our area that is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). With your help, we can reach our goal in being the second accredited center in our area.

While our regulatory partner, the Virginia Department of Education, focuses primarily on the health and safety of our preschool, applying for accreditation allows us to go above and beyond what’s minimally required. The comprehensive nature of NAEYC promotes program accountability and makes it possible for programs to consistently provide high quality learning experiences for each child and maintain the infrastructure needed to sustain this high level of quality over time.
